哈哈哈!!! 一隻活在38樓的蝦: Royal Wedding

這兩天最多人（特別是將要結婚的人）談論的必定是英國王子大婚。

星期五那天我在家看直播，最有興趣看的當然是新娘子Kate Middleton的婚紗、伴娘裙、花球和結婚蛋糕。第一眼最吸引我的居然是新娘子的妹妹Pippa (Philippa) Middleton的伴娘裙，款式簡單，但不失高貴，剪裁貼身，加上跟新娘子花球用的鈴蘭做頭花，整個look真的很靚呀!! 當日英國的即時新聞便已經報導，Pippa Middleton的伴娘裙也是出自Alexander McQueen的Sarah Burton的手筆。

根據官方網頁，這襲象牙色伴娘裙，低 V斗篷領和短袖，在領口和兩袖縫有喱士，背部有一排跟新娘婚紗一樣的小鈕扣:

The official wedding website describes the dress as “a heavy, ivory satin-based crepe, with a cowl front and with the same button detail and lace trims as the Bride’s dress.” (OK! Magazine)

由於是度身訂做，這條伴娘裙完全能夠表現Pippa Middleton的身型，非常的slim，貴的東西真的寧舍不同!! 相信Sarah Burton在今次王子大婚後，一定更加聲價十倍。

至於新娘子的婚紗，我覺得上身的喱士很靚，但是下身感覺好像差了一點點，第一個給我的感覺就像是「一箸嘢」可惜目前網上沒有婚紗的detail相，不能清楚看到下身刺繡的pattern。

BBC的報導說婚紗上的喱士刺繡以玫瑰、薊、黃水仙和三葉草為圖案，分別代表英格蘭、蘇格蘭、威爾士和愛爾蘭，由皇家針黹學院師傅縫製，盡顯他們的手藝。縫製時師傅須每隔 30分鐘洗一次手，確保喱士和繡線潔白；又要每隔三小時換一次縫針，以保持針頭尖銳。

"Designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen, the dress has a lace applique bodice and skirt, and veil. The lace on the bride's dress details a rose, thistle, daffodil and shamrock, and was hand-made by the Royal School of Needlework at Hampton Court Palace.

The lace motifs were pinned, "framed up" and applied with stab stitching every 2mm to 3mm around each lace motif.

Workers washed their hands every 30 minutes to keep the lace and threads pristine, and the needles were renewed every three hours, to keep them sharp and clean." (BBC)

很多報導也有提及Kate Middleton戴的后冠（tiara）是「前度事頭婆」英女皇借出的。這隻皇冠是卡地亞1936年的出品，是英女皇的爸爸佐治六世仍是約克公爵時買給太太（即皇太后）的禮物，並在英女皇18歲時由媽媽轉贈給她。

"Made by Cartier in 1936, the tiara was purchased by the Queen's father, the Duke of York (later King George VI) for his Duchess (later Queen Elisabeth and the Queen Mother) three weeks before he succeeded his brother as King. The tiara was presented to Princess Elisabeth (now the Queen) by her mother on her 18th birthday." (BBC)

至於Kate Middleton戴的耳環，則是她的父母給她的禮物。

另一樣我很有興趣的便是新娘的花球，BBC說Kate Middleton選擇了以鈴蘭、紫薇花、石竹花和風信子配搭的花球。老實說，網上沒有太多focus花球的相片，除了鈴蘭外，我很難看清楚有什麼其他的花。不過，我肯定不是只有鈴蘭囉，哈哈!!

從網上得知，採用紫薇花做花球原來是皇室的傳統，這個傳統可追溯到維多利亞女皇時代。在古希伯來時候，紫薇花是婚姻的象徵。作為維多利亞時代的象徵，紫薇花則代表忠誠，並會帶來好運，是一個包含恆久的愛和幸福婚姻的象徵。

還記得我自己結婚時，也曾想過用鈴蘭，Yen說鈴蘭的花球價錢一定較貴。我那時最緊要花球靚，貴一點也沒有所謂，不過那時覺得只用鈴蘭的話就比較寡一點，又沒有idea用什麼花做襯花，而且阿Yen好像說我結婚那時的鈴蘭不是最靚，所以最後只用了朱頂蘭和蝴蝶蘭兩款花做花球。

在晚宴的時候，Kate Middleton換了一套又是Sarah Burton設計腰帶鑲滿鑽石的露肩evening dress（strapless white satin gazar evening gown with diamante around the waist and a white angora bolero cardigan）。根她的妹妹Pippa Middleton那一件綠色evening gown相比，Kate Middleton那套好像單調了一點，我不覺得如英國有些傳媒所說的"stunning"囉反而Pippa Middleton就真的很stunning喇!!
